The generated tests cover happy paths, boundary conditions, and error handling with meaningful assertions rather than trivial checks.

Where Qodo really shines is its PR review integration. The Qodo Merge (formerly PR-Agent) bot provides detailed, actionable feedback on pull requests that goes beyond what most automated linters catch. It summarizes changes, identifies potential bugs, and suggests fixes that can be applied with a single click. The custom review guidelines feature lets teams encode their specific coding standards so the AI enforces them consistently. However, the credit-based pricing can be frustrating for active teams -- 75 PRs per month on the free tier sounds generous until you realize a busy team of five developers can burn through that in two weeks.

Compared to alternatives like Sourcery or CodeRabbit for code review, Qodo offers a more comprehensive package that includes both test generation and PR review.
